The City of Culver is located in North Central Indiana and is considered a resort town. Culver has a population of approximately 1000 in the winter and climbs to 4,000 during the summer months. The Town is home to the prestigious Culver Academies and Lake Maxinkuckee.
Lake Maxinkuckee, at slightly over 1800 acres, is the second largest natural lake in Indiana. The Lake is spring fed giving us crystal clear waters that range to nearly 110 feet deep. The Northern Shore is home to the aforementioned Culver Academies. Recreational Lake activities include all water sports—skiing, swimming, sailing. In winter months, snowmobiling, ice fishing, ice skating, ice-boat sailing and cross country skiing are available activities. Of course, excellent fishing is available year round.
